Fredonia Smith, affectionately known as “Donia”, was born March 23, 1930 in Port Gibson, MS to the late Joseph and Janie (Williams) Green. She attended Alcorn University and Clairborne County Training School. Fredonia was a member of Woodland Christian Church. On Thursday, September 10, 2020, Fredonia passed away. She is preceded in death by her husband Elder Charles C. Edward Smith, parents, brothers Charles H. Green, Edgar Lee Green, Julius Green, and sisters Josephine Reece, Penola King, Annie L. Davis. Fredonia leaves to mourn her passing, her beloved daughter, Debbie Goins; grandson, Tyler K. Goins; sister’s, Dorothy M. Taylor and Rosia B. Ellis; sister-in-law, Azell Green of Port Gibson, MS; brother-in-law, R.C. Reece of Dayton, OH; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Between 9:00 - 10:00 a.m., doors will open for a walk-through viewing with staggered admission of up to 25 people at a time. For the mutual wellness and respect of those present, all visitors must wear an appropriate face covering, apply an alcohol-based hand sanitizer spray upon entry, and maintain proper distancing according to current public health guidelines. We encourage you to utilize Fredonia's memorial celebration wall to view her video tribute, send flowers, and share your expressions of sympathy and support for the family. A receptacle will also be available for on-site collection of sympathy cards and condolence letters.
