General Lee Jones

General Lee Jones was born May 29, 1932 in Franklin County, Virginia to Will and Jennie (Waid) Jones. General served in the United States Army. He worked for Columbus City Schools. He was a self-employed concrete finisher. He also built and remodeled homes, often commandeering his grandchildren to assist. On Thursday, September 28, 2017, General was called home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, wife Mary Louise Jones, two brothers, James and Robert, and four sisters, Mary, Fannie, Erma, and Annie. General leaves to cherish his memory his son, Cabell (Cindy) Jones; granddaughter, Tamara Jones; grandsons, Davin (Keisha) Easley, Branden (Josie) Jones, Jermaine (Dorcas) Jones and Jordan Jones; great-grandson, Josiah Jones; special caregiver, Ann Brown; and many other relatives and friends.
