General Thomas Jefferson Jr, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. General was born August 7, 1935 in Sumpter SC. to General T Jefferson, Sr. and Linder Gooden Jefferson General served as Sergeant in the United States Army for 9 years during the late 50’s into the early 60’s. He served during the Korean conflict after the Korean war. General retired from The Timken Company after 44 years of service as a Quality Control Technician. He was a golden glove boxer at the Neighborhood House. General was an avid golfer with the Toast of the Town golf club. He loved to travel with his siblings and spouses, as Tunica was a favorite destination amongst many others. He enjoyed league bowling with his family. He was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. General was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who is already dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents General T. Jefferson, Sr. and Linder Gooden Jefferson, wife; Phyllis Long Jefferson, sisters; Iola Jefferson Massey, Della Mae Long, Evelyn Jefferson Thomas and Theresa Jefferson, sons; William Jefferson, Ronald Holmes, daughters; Carolyn Jefferson, Belinda Jefferson and Rochelle Williams. Brother in law; Ronald Long, sister in law; Ruth Ann Moorer General leaves to cherish his memory, sons; General III (Ceola), Robert (Patricia) and Joseph Jefferson (Tina), General Cornell Burris, daughters; Doris Jefferson (Bobby), Velvet (Rev. Alvin) Sealy, Lorletha (Anthony) Marshall, Chana (Pastor Robert) Taylor, Robin Holmes, Rhonda (Jon) Langford, Sabrina (Scott) Godfrey, brothers; Ernest (Mary) Jefferson, Sr., and Thomas (Patsy) Jefferson; brother in laws; Colby, Michael (Shiela), and Vernon (Linda) Long, sister in law; Linda Mann and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
