George Eugene 'Pete' Green

George Eugene Green, affectionately known by many as Pete, was born in Columbus, Ohio on September 6, 1949. He served two years in the United States Army prior to receiving an honorable discharge and retired from the Franklin County Department of Human Services where he worked as a maintenance technician. Over the years, Pete also worked as a disc jockey and bartender at numerous places around town. On Friday, December 23, 2011, George departed this life at Grant Medical Center at the age of 62. He was preceded in death by his father George Washington Green, mother Geniebell Hollins Green, brother James Green, and daughter-in-law Veronica. He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Antwonne, LaShonne, Terrance (Lisa), Ian, and DeShawn; daughters, WauKeesha, Ahesa (Richard), Charnet, Courtney, and Charity; brother Robert (Carmen) Green; sister Angie Spence; former wife Yvonne Green; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
