George Washington Green, Jr., age 70, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 22, 2016. Born May 15, 1946 to George Green, Sr. and Annie Lee Fields in Marion, AL. In 1966, he married Gleaddis Shaw and had four children from that union. He loved many things, but his love for cars allowed him to become a mechanic. He worked at Springfield Toyota in Atlanta, GA for many years. George lived life on his own terms but his love for family and friends was the center of his universe. He never missed an opportunity to have fun. He spoke his mind and had no problems with following his words with a sharp blade. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. His skills with wild meat were something to be envied. In addition to his many talents, he was known for his skills on the grill. George was a self-proclaimed grill master and we know many of us will miss the smoky barbequed ribs that he used to grill with Smoking Joe. He was a father, not only to his children, but many of their friends as well. George lived a very full life with few regrets. He will be missed. He was predeceased by his parents, George, Annie Lee, and Arthur Curry, and siblings, Earl Fields and Samuel Curry. He leaves to mourn his passing, his five children, Pamular, Darryl, Hamilton (Lusanne), and Tiffany Green in Columbus, OH, and Kevin Hibbler, Sr. (Phaidra) in Birmingham, AL; siblings, Mae Lee Green, Roger Curry, Lee (Bridgette) Curry, Cynthia Curry, Tommy Curry, Essie Green, and Lorine Green; grandchildren, Donovan Anderson, Candice Green, Courtney Green, Darryl Jr., Hamilton Jr., Lincoln, Amira, Sedera, Kimani, Kiera, Kevin Jr., Amira, Gabrielle, and Kevin Jr.; special family member Michele Waderker; and a host of other relatives and friends.
