George Palmer Iii

George William “Porgie” Palmer III departed this life suddenly on Monday November 25, 2013 at the age of 63. George was born December 31, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio to George and Ozie Palmer. He graduated from Mohawk High School class of 1969.  George retired after 30 years of service from Delphi, and was a member of New Birth Christian Ministries. George was married to the love of his life Ruby for 37 years, their union together brought 4 children and 8 grandchildren.   George was an avid Buckeye Fan. He loved to play pool and most of all spending time with his family. George never met a stranger, to know him was to love him. George had the ability to light up the room with his presence. He will truly be missed by his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by father, George Palmer, Jr.; mother-in-law, Annie Paschal and father-in-law, James Paschal. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Ozie Palmer; his loving wife Ruby Palmer; children, Tanya, Rhonda, Clayton (Chasiti), and Tanisha; grandchildren, Brandon, Te’Yon, Triniti, Jaden, Tatum, William, Treyton and Trinae; brothers, Jeffrey and Eric Palmer; brother-in-law, James Paschal; sister-in-law, Mary Paschal; special childhood friends, William Brown and Melvin Nelson and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many other friends;
