Geraldine “Jeri” P. Bolden, 76, was born December 10, 1939 in Columbus, OH to the late Harley and Dorothy Mae (Davis) Latham. She departed this life to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Wexner Zusman Hospice Center. Jeri was a product of the Columbus Public School system attending Reeb Elementary School, Barrett Jr. High School and South High School. At an early age, Jeri united in marriage to George Olverson to which two children were born. After the sudden unexpected death of George, she later married Von R. Graham, Jr. and had two more children. In later years, Jeri met William “Will” Bolden and they were married March 16, 1984. Jeri was a dedicated employee of The Ohio State University and a big “Buckeye” fan. She worked at OSU for 20+ years, retiring in 1999. After retiring from OSU, she worked mentoring children at the APDS Afterschool and Summer Youth Programs until 2006. Jeri was a lifetime member of the Hosack Street Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until her death. She joyfully served as an Usher and worked in the Pantry until her health no longer permitted. Jeri was an avid league bowler; bowling in several women’s and mixed bowling leagues. She was also a grand master “Bingo” player. Besides her first two husbands and parents, Jeri is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold (Linda) Latham and Harley (Shirley) Latham, Jr.; brother-in-law, Walden Penn and mother-in-law, Betty Bolden. She leaves to cherish her memories husband, William Bolden; daughter, Denice E. (James) White; sons, Randy B. Olverson, Von R. Graham, III, and Todd D. (Trina) Graham; sister, Patricia Penn; brother, Kenneth L. (Patricia) Latham; father-in-law, Papa B. Bolden; sister-in-law, Shermaine (Harrison) Ray; brothers-in-law, Richie (Debra) Bolden, Ronnie (Diane) Bolden, and Hank Bolden; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by special sisters Helen Glaze, Norma Ferguson, Carol Stepter; special buddies, Chris Ranson, Lewis Turner, Ray Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
