Glenn Anthony Robinson was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, October 5, 1946. He was the son of Lillian C. Ross and Donald Robinson. Glenn served in the United States Army, completing a tour of duty during the Vietnam War. This veteran served his country well and was honorably discharged. After returning home, Glen was employed with the Board of Education. He retired with many years of dedicated service. As a child, Glenn had ambitions to be greater than life. He lived his life to the fullest. Glenn was known for his wittiness and good jokes. He was very charming, wooing his ladies with Luther Vandross. In fact, one summer, he actually followed the soul singer on tour, visiting different venues. Glen was a complete people person, making sure everyone had a smile on their face. In his last days, Glenn enjoyed visiting friends and eating out daily. He would always remember to stop and speak to family and friends, at least once a day. He took time to enjoy a meal with his peers, and daily shared a moment of prayer. Glenn loved his food, especially his Chinese food, as well as his favorite sports team, OSU. We can still hear him shouting, “O.H.” and expecting our response of “I.O.” Glenn Anthony Robinson passed, peacefully, on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. He was seventy-five years of age. Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Donald Robinson; mother, Lillian C. Ross; stepfather, Charles A. Ross; and sister, Marva Robinson Bean.
