Glodine Marie Hunt

Glodine Marie Hunt was born on July 9, 1950 to Ralph W. Hunt Jr. and Gwendolyn G. Hunt, in Columbus, Ohio and was called Home on October 7, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Constance, V. Hunt. Glodine was a loving and caring person that cared more about others than herself; and she would give you the clothes off her back. She opened her heart to all that she knew and was loved and respected by all. She loved reading books, watching old TV shows, listening to music - and not many knew she could sing and had a beautiful voice. She adored spending time with her grandchildren and made sure all kids she knew would have school supplies and underwear every year when school started. Our heart may feel empty, but she filled our hearts with so much love. She will live on forever in our hearts and minds. After drill team, she would stop at Club Utopia, where she and her best friend, Patricia Brown, would get their Coke-A-Cola drink. Glodine is survived by her children, Olanea and Alexander Hunt and Brandon Ward; grandchildren, Zakiya Harper; Al’Teiona Hopkins-Hunt; Amyia and Jaieyre Hawkins; Victoria, Michael, Mekhi, Micah and Vanessa Ward; best friend, Patricia Brown; sisters, Jacqueline Hunt, Madeline, Gross, Rose Douthitt and Ralphela (Mitchell) Jacobs; aunts and uncles, Virginia Denny of Columbus, Ohio; Fred and Billie Martin, Wavely and Bobbie Hunt and Dorothy and Ed Mitchell, all of Roaring River, North Carolina; nieces and nephews, Octavia and Lamont Hickman; Oletha Pace; Tamika (Calvin) Craft; and Misty and Sparkle Hunt; caregiver, Annika Hawkins; special friends, Rita and Angie; The Price, Blalock and Hopkins families; and a host of other family and friends.
