Gloria Woods

Gloria Glo (Sissy) Woods was born August 16, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio. She entered eternal peace, in Heaven, with her Lord and Savior on December 12, 2012 at Grant Hospital. Gloria attended local schools (Beatty Park, Monroe, East High); before graduating from Central High School, Kent State University. She participated in band, cheerleading, drill team, various sports. Gloria worked in various fields to support her two surviving sons, before retiring from Columbus Public Schools with over 20 years of service, because of a work related injury. Gloria is a member of Refuge Baptist Church for over 50 years. Gloria enjoyed feeding birds, crocheting, gardening, family time, helping others, and praising God. Gloria was raised by Lois Woods, but had a very special relationship with Grandparents Harold Juanita Abbott. Gloria was preceded in death by son Raymon Woods, Harold [Juanita] Abbott, Daniel Abbott; uncle/aunt Ray [Juanita] Burley; sisters Charmaine Woods, Delores Chapman; brother Nathaniel Woods II; brother-in-law John Hardy; niece Lanita Woods; nephew Juan Wills and many others. Gloria will live through her mom, Lois Woods; sons, Tiberius B. Woods, Iteeba A. Woods; granddaughter, Eternity T. (Snickers) Woods; sisters, Evelyn Hardy, Jessie Woods, Denise [Slyvester] Nowlin, and Lisa Woods, in-laws Sandra Woods, Donald Miller, host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family friends until time.
