Grady Hardiman

January 12, 1955 — March 17, 2019

Grady Hardiman “Cut”, age 65, was born January 12, 1954 in Cleveland, Mississippi. He was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School. Immediately following high school, he was drafted into a minor league baseball team as a left-handed pitcher. He also resided in Indianapolis, Indiana before moving to Columbus, Ohio in 1986. Grady was a faithful member of Corinthian Baptist Church. Grady worked for many years in sales at both Harry Levinson Men’s Store and Kuppenheimer Men’s Store. For the past 30 years, Gary operated the Cleaning Company he and his wife started. He was affiliated with the NSBE, National Society of Black Engineers, helping young children by giving them small jobs at his cleaning company. Grady was a very giving person to everyone he met! He loved children and giving to others whether it was monetary or of himself. His love of barbequing was a trait learned from his dad that owned a barbeque business. Grady loved music and was passionate about creating his own CD's with the songs he liked the most. On March 17, 2019, Grady transitioned to Heaven. He is preceded in death by his father Roy Hardiman Sr., mother’s L.C. Hardiman and Magnolia Hardiman, and sister Connie Hardiman. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Donanie Hardiman; children, Bryant (Phillis) Hardiman, Kia (Robert) Davidson, and Patrick (Gentle) Harris; brother’s, Roy Hardiman, Jr., Larry Hardiman, Jimmy Hardiman, Charles Hardiman, and Alvin Hardiman; sister’s, Betty Hardiman, Marjorie Squires, Alma Spells, Vanessa Hardiman, Robin (Clarence) Cheatum, and Sonja Hardiman; grandchildren, Kennedy, Robert, Mya, Legend, Champion, Dionnie, Jaala, Payton, and Paxton; and a host of in-law’s, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Grady was loved tremendously by his wife, children, siblings, and grandchildren!
