Grover Spencer, Jr. was born May 31, 1937 in New Castle, Pennsylvania to Grover and Hattie Spencer, Sr. He served his country in the United States Army. He worked for National Electric Coil for over 30 years. Grover loved sports. His favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed sport cars, gardening, and believed he was the best cook in the world, especially when it came to ribs. No one could cook ribs as well as he could! Someone once labeled him ”The Rib Man”. Grover was a man of many words, no one could out talk him. On Monday, June 1, 2020, Grover passed away peacefully. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lester Spencer, and sisters Gladys Bhuiya, Marlene Mosley, and Bernice Spencer. He leaves to mourn his memory his loving wife, Patricia Spencer; son’s, James Davis and Michael Jerome Davis; brother’s, Paul Spencer, Bernard Spencer, and William Spencer; sister’s, Inez Spencer and Deborah Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Beginning at 1:00 pm, doors will open for a walk-through viewing with staggered admission of up to 10 people at a time. For the mutual wellness and respect of those present, all visitors are asked to wear an appropriate face covering, apply an alcohol-based hand sanitizer spray upon entry, and maintain proper distancing according to current public health guidelines. We encourage you to utilize Grover's memorial celebration wall to send flowers and post an expression of sympathy and support for the family. A receptacle will also be available for on-site collection of sympathy cards and condolence letters.
