GWENDOLYN SUE CLARK was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday, October 26, 1944. She was the daughter of Leola Jackson and Arthur Jackson. Gwen, as she was affectionately called by family and friends, received her formal education from Columbus City Schools and was a proud graduate of East High School, Class of 1962.
She was employed with White Castle for fifteen years, as a supervisor, and ten years with Huntington Bank. Gwen loved the Lord and was affiliated with the Baptist faith. During her leisure time, she enjoyed reading and word search puzzles.
Blessed with seventy-eight years of life, our beloved Gwendolyn S. Clark entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over thirty-five years, Clifford Clark, Sr.; sisters, Joann Kelso, Mary Ross, and Betty Valentine; and brothers, Arthur “Sammy” Jackson, Paul Jackson, Mel Jackson, and Andrew Jackson.
Loving memories are cherished by her daughters, Karen (Porter) Clark and Tamika (Quennton) Sullivan-Hamlet; son, Keenan Clark; sister, Jackie Anderson; grandchildren, Turrell (Kelly) Clark, Montiana (William) Wilson, Marquis (Shanda) Clark, Zee’Yana (Raymon) King, Zee’Naya Hamlet and Zee’Niya Hamlet; a host of great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and dear friends.
