Harriet Denise Johnson

HARRIET ‘NECY’ JOHNSON was born to James Bain and Virginia Johnson on March 29, 1952. She departed this life on Tuesday February 19, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Necy was a product of Columbus City Schools and graduated from Columbus East High School. She worked at Columbus Area Mental Health, Inc. for 13 years. Necy was a dedicated employee where she loved her clients like family. She never met a stranger and when she walked in a room she owned it. She could make one cry laughing from her anecdotes to her witty jokes. Necy knew how to light up a room… turn a frown upside down. She had a caring heart. Necy would literally give you the shirt off her back, her favorite past time was spending time with her grandchildren , caring for her mother and admiring her beauty in the mirror. Necy was preceded in death by her father James Bain Johnson, brother James Donaldson, and son Kristopher Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother Virginia Johnson, sons Kandis Johnson and Kyle Jones, daughters Kearston Jones, Toni Johnson, and Khristin (Weeluv) Johnson, siblings Melvin (Jean) Roseboro, David (Marie) Johnson, Shirley (John) Grant, Judy (Bobby) Johnson, Patty (Andre) Johnson, Cathy Thomas, and Crystal (John) Combs, honorary siblings, Pete Woods and Deborah Brown, 6 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Necy will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
