Harry Logan Manns

Harry was born on May 8, 1948 to Harry (Sport) Manns and Bernice (Reeves) Somers in Bluefield, West Virginia. Affectionately called Logan for most of his life, he graduated from Bluefield High School and attended Bluefield State College. Logan married his high school sweetheart Brenda Hurt in 1968 and moved to Ohio where he lived for over 15 years. He later moved back to Bluefield and eventually re-married. He had 5 children over the course of his life. After a long battle of declining health, Logan died at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio on December, 19th 2021 with family by his side. Logan loved life and in his earlier years was an avid golfer. He also loved riding motorcycles. He worked for the State of Ohio for many years and retired as a truck driver. He enjoyed his relationships with close family and friends. Logan was preceded in death by his parents Bernice Reeves Somers (Mother), Harry Sport Manns (Father) and his wife Carolyn Manns. He is survived by his children, Eric Anthony (Tanese) Manns, Christopher Fitzgerald Manns, Stephanie Anika (Percy) King, Courtney LaNece Manns, Joshua Harry Logan Manns; sisters, Betty (James) Sawyers, Lynn and Michelle Marrs; brother, Marlon Marrs; 8 grandchildren ,3 great-grandchildren, and a host of other special family and friends including his beloved Uncle Herbert Reeves. A private memorial service with close family to be held at a later date at the family burial site in Rocky Mount, Virginia.
