Harvey Nathaniel “Nate” Allen, a resident of Reynoldsburg, OH, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013. He was born August 15,1944 in Huntington, WV. Preceded in death by his parents John Henry and Narcissus Lee Allen; grandmother Susie Henrietta Chadwick-Allen; bothers Robert Lee and James Edward and sister Irma Jean Allen. Survived by wife, Lois Ann Allen; son, Jason McCord (Michelle Floyd) Allen; daughter, Lauren Nicole (Dwayne Williams) Allen; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary John Allen and Dr. Elizabeth Ann Allen and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, extended family, and countless devoted friends. He graduated at the age of 16 from Huntington High School where he was one of the first to desegregate the system. He was accepted into the Navy in 1964 to study and become a radio transmitter and was honorably discharged in 1969. He then started his career with Economy Savings and Loan as an Asst. Mgr. and retired briefly from Beneficial Finance as Sr. Mgr Marketing Dir. He then sold cars for Lindsey Acura of Columbus. He was an advocate of youth sports and coached baseball, soccer, football, and bowling. He was also proficient in the games of golf and bowling and was also a member of the Kiwanis and involved in youth charitable organizations. He enjoyed traveling extensively with his family, The Buddies, and friends.
