Brother Harvey Reynolds, Jr. was born February 21, 1921 in Pulaski Tennessee, which incidentally was the birthplace of the Klu Klux Klan. He departed this life on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. During his lifetime, he held membership at several churches in the Columbus Metropolitan area, which included Gospel Tabernacle, Church of God MPG of Truth and Brentnell Apostolic Church. Jovial, light-hearted, encouraging. That is how many of those who knew him well described Brother Reynolds. His outgoing personality quickly turned a stranger into a friend. He loved to stay connected to family and held long phone conversations with his many nieces, nephews and cousins, often ending the conversations with his favorite saying: “Be Sweet.” He served in the United States Army during World War II, and then worked at the BT Metals Corporation before launching his own enterprise as a television/radio repairman. Brother Reynolds loved boating and fishing. He loved to work in his garden and enjoyed studying world and military history. His memory will be forever cherished by his four daughters, Rev. Dr. Barbara A. Reynolds, Deborah Smith, Michelle Reynolds and Janice Ford, as well as his numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. His wife, Mary Reynolds, departed from this life on October 14, 1994. In Sadness and Celebration the family releases Harvey Reynolds to our God and Savior who loves Harvey Reynolds and has prepared a place for him in heaven. “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor pain, for the former things have passed away.” ~ Revelations 21:4
