Henry H. Williams went home to be with his heavenly father November 22, 2019. He was born on the south side of Columbus, Ohio; growing up a street behind the Old Hosack Church. He was the son of Myrtle Hargett Williams Black and Henry Williams, but grew up with his mother and stepfather Thomas Black. Henry was a lifelong member of Hosack Baptist Church, being baptized at age twelve. He was a very faithful member becoming involved in many ministries. He was a member of the Male Course, the Hosack United Brothers, and in the year 2000 he was ordained a Deacon. Deacon Williams was a very dedicated, upright man. He always spoke kind words in a very gentle way to everyone. Deacon Williams was also a Master Mason of Tarbel Lodge #7. Henry graduated from South High School in 1948. He joined the United States Air Force in 1949. He was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, retiring in 1969 with an honorable discharge. He met the love of his life, Ayako and was married in 1955. To this union was born five children of which four survived. They relocated in Columbus where he was employed at the U.S. Post Office, retiring in 1986. He was preceded in death by: His parents, Son Roger (Ricky) Williams, Brothers Charles E. Williams and Thomas P. Black, and Sister Geraldine Williams Dumais. He leaves to cherish his memory: His loving wife Ayako Williams, Daughter Cassandra Figueroa (Williams), Sons Steven Williams (Annabell), Kenneth Williams, and Michael Williams (Rayequel). Four Grandchildren: Joyce Cajarop (Jeffery), Gabriel Figueroa (Cathy), Ricky Williams (Lauren) and Michaela Williams. Four Great Grandchildren, a loving Sister-in-law Delia Black, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other relatives and many friends.
