Herbert Yancy Morris, was born on September 16, 1933 in Elkhorn, West Virginia to the late W. Yancy and Beatrice (Calloway) Morris. He retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years of service; and also from DCSC, where he was a financial clerk. He also worked at Timken Roller Bearing and Rockwell Companies. Herbert loved bowling, fishing and singing in the Male Chorus. Herbert passed away on February 18, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, George Howard (Abbie) Morris; sister, Gearldine Wolf; brothers-in-law, Jean, Edward, Glen Jr., and Clarence Holiday; sister-in-law, Shirley Holiday; brother-in-law, Charles Wolf and Joe Kid, all of Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is survived by loving and devoted wife, Jeanette Holiday Morris; son, Jason Morris; dear friends, Joe Kirksey, Louise and Diane Raymoure; sister-in-law, Velma J. Kid, of Chattanooga, TN; and many nieces and nephews.
