Hermon Hutcherson was born February 27, 1937 in Concord (Pike County), Georgia. In his youth, he would help out on the farm by tending to his family's gardens and livestock. He professed his Christian faith at an early age and attended Fairfield Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Concord. Later, he established his own business, Hermon's Carpet Cleaning Janitorial Service, which he maintained for over forty years by providing his skills and services to various doctor's offices and small businesses in the community. On June 14, 2015, at the age of 78, Hermon was called home to be with the Lord after a brief stay at The Manor at Whitehall nursing facility in Whitehall, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years, Geneva Hutcherson, parents, Andrew Wright Hutcherson and Lillie Mae Anthony, and five siblings, Annette, Paul, Rosetta, Lillie Mae, and Andrew Wright, Jr. He is survived by his four children, Sonja Hutcherson, Shari (James) Watkins, Natalie Elaine (Darryl) Joe, and Roderick Hermon (Mindy) Hutcherson; ten siblings, Tommie Lewis (Isabelle) Hutcherson, Haskel Hutcherson of Stone Mountain, Georgia, James (Cynathia) Hutcherson, Larry Hutcherson, James Caldwell, Blanche (Roosevelt) Robinson, Bernice Borden, Dahilia (Charles) Caddell, Patricia (Horace) Fuller, Brenda Hutcherson and Mary L. Hutcherson; six grandchildren, Tereasa Williams, Larry Watkins, Terrance Watkins, Kari Nicole Watkins, R. J. Hutcherson, and Gabrielle Hutcherson; four great grandchildren, Shaheda Thomas, Marcos Thomas, Quincy Watkins, and Tamiria Watkins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
