Homer C. Lyles, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at OSU East Hospital. Retired from DCSC, he served in the U.S. Army, WWII. He was an avid bowler and member of Travelers’ Rest Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, James and Bessie Lyles; sister, Louise Moore and stepdaughter, Kathy Goolsby Williams. Survived by loving wife Doris Lyles; stepsons, Harold Goolsby of Portsmouth, OH, Michael David Goolsby, Columbus, OH and Sherman (Janice) Floyd of Virginia; stepdaughter, Lois Spurlock; sistersin-law, Rebecca (Forest) Jones and Mae Ruth Roberts; all of Columbus; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Kate) Thompson, of Virginia; son-in-law, Bruce W. Williams, Columbus; best friends Forest E Jones and Haskell Ed Hughes and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
