Howard was a man of deep connections, and throughout his life, he cherished the love and companionship of those closest to him. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Shawndell Bryant, who now rests in eternal peace alongside him. He also bid farewell to his ex-wife of 21 years and the mother of his children, Sharon Renee Bryant, and to his ex-wife, Sand Bryant. Howard's heart was large enough to encompass the love for his parents, Manuel L Bryant and Faybell Bryant, as well as his siblings: LV Bryant, LJ Bryant, Freddie Bryant, Melvin Bryant, Alice May Bryant, Vernie Bryant, Evalian Bryant, and Alma Bryant.
In the embrace of love, Howard is survived by his devoted wife, Tammy Bryant, who shared with him the joys and challenges of life's journey. His children, Bryce Bryant, Howard E Bryant Jr., Stephen D Bryant, Chanel E Bryant, and Timyra W. Bryant, were the lights of his life, and he was a caring brother to TA Bryant, Helen Bryant, and Lucille Bryant.
As a cherished grandfather, Howard leaves behind a precious legacy in his grandchildren: Totianna Bryant, Keshawnta Bryant, Tavion Bryant, LaPraya Bryant, Kemaje Bryant, Krystal Bryant, Marco Bryant, and Malan Bryant. His love and guidance will forever resonate in their hearts, inspiring them to embrace their dreams and live with purpose.
Howard's life was an epic tale of service, dedication, and triumph. He proudly served his country in the US Army, exemplifying the true meaning of patriotism and honor. Following his military service, Howard dedicated 38 years of his life to the White Castle Corporations, leaving an indelible mark on both the company and the lives he touched along the way.
In his formative years, Howard displayed remarkable promise as a student-athlete, earning the esteemed student-athlete award while attending Monroe Junior High in Columbus, Ohio. His determination and passion extended to his academic pursuits at Central High School, where he continued to inspire others with his commitment to excellence.
Beyond his professional achievements, Howard's talents knew no bounds. He was an extraordinary Golden Glove boxer, honing his skills at the Windsor Terrace Recreation Center. His prowess in the boxing ring was a testament to his resilience and discipline.
But it didn't end there—Howard's talents extended to the realm of the arts, where his powerful and influential singing captured the hearts of those fortunate enough to listen. His voice resonated with emotion and brought comfort to countless souls.
A Home Going service to celebrate Howard's life will be held on July 27, 2023, at Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Home, located at 720 E Long Street, Columbus, Ohio 43203. The wake will commence at 9:00 AM, followed by the service at 10:00 AM. Let us gather together to honor and pay tribute to this remarkable soul, to share cherished memories, and to find comfort in the embrace of our community.
Though we grieve the physical loss of Howard Bryant, we find solace in the knowledge that his spirit lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he gifted us. Let us honor his memory by living with the same resilience, love, and compassion that he shared so generously.
