Irean Lucille Madden went home to be with the Lord March 28, 2018. She was born in Columbus, Oh, where she graduated from East High School. Irean was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and sung in the Major Choir. In addition to her 35 years of service at Lazarus where she was a member of their 20 Year Club, she also worked for Carter and Hadden part time for 9 years, the Library Services of Columbus for over 15 years and volunteered at Mt. Carmel West for many years. Irean was the founding member of the“Char-So-Re” (Charity-Social-Religious) Ladies Club. She enjoyed the theatre, modeling, playing the organ, and cooking. Irean was a roll model for many young women. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Estelle Fitzgerald, husband Jack R. Madden, brothers James, John, and Nathaniel Fitzgerald, sister Wanda “Sis” Evans, and great grandson Jordan Madden. Irean leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Jack “Buddy” L. Madden; six grandchildren, Tonya “Toni” (Clyde) Berry, Terri Madden, Timothy Madden, Lori (Ellis) Washington, Jacqueline Madden, and Brian Madden; brother, Willie (Catherine) Fitzgerald; sister-in-law, Margaret Fitzgerald; 12 great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The family extends a big thank you to the staff at CACC.
