Iris A. Choice

Iris A. Choice was born June 15, 1932, in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Walter and Essie Mae Jackson. She was united in marriage to the late Charles Choice on October 25, 1951. At age 78, she departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2011, after a lengthy illness. She graduated from Second Ward High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. She attended college for a brief time for nursing, and was later employed as a nurse’s aide at St. Anthony Hospital. She was employed by Columbus Public Schools as a teacher’s aide. In 1976, she retired from the Columbus Public School System. Iris was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles Choice and son, Citron L. Choice. She leaves to cherish her loving memory to her dedicated son, Kelvin B. Choice; daughters, Charlene A. Choice, Iris Donnie Choice (Benny Lewis), Cheryl A. (Leroy) Goff; six grandchildren Citron Choice, Anesha L. Choice, Alexandria L. Goff, Ashley N. Lewis, Charles Chip Peoples, John Charles Goff and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
