Jacqueline Mcclain

Jacqueline McClain's wonderful smile and gentle spirit passed gracefully on to her Lord and Savior on September 22, 2022. Jacqueline touched numerous people with her caring spirit, beautiful smile, and genuine love. She is survived by her loving family; her daughters, Victoria Mitchell, Treva (Kai) Binford, Erin Mitchell and Erica Mitchell; her sisters, Dorothy (Isiah) Brewer, Seretha Mitchell, Latoya Mitchell, Pearly May Blue, and Julian Atwood; her brothers, Tony (Kathy) Morris, Walter (LaDonna) Hall, and Reginald (Dee Dee) Hall; her Aunt Sylvania Robinson, 8 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph McClain, her mother Deloris Hall, and father Walter Morris.

Jackie was born in Birmingham, Alabama. Later in life, she moved to Columbus, Ohio where she would marry her late-husband, Rudolph. In addition to raising her four children, Jackie enjoyed fundraising and volunteering within the Shepherd Community. She also served on both the Church and Pastoral Anniversary Committees and the Hospitality Committee at Christ Community Church. She had a love for cooking and baking and had an entrepreneurial spirit, but she was known most as a loving caretaker and a woman of faith.
