Jaleen (Uddin) Douglass

Jaleen (Uddin) Douglass was born December 10, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio. She was the only daughter of four (4) children born to the late John and Amy Uddin. She attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated from East High School in 1958. In 1963 she wed Edward Douglass Sr and to this union was born two (2) sons Edward (Dougie) Douglass Jr and Jeffery Douglass. They were married for 51 years until his passing in 2014. Jaleen was employed by The Ohio State University Departments of Radiology and Microbiology as a Lab Technician from 1971 — 2000. She retired in 2000 after 29 years of dedicated service. Jaleen was a loving and supportive wife, and devoted mother and grandmother. She cherished the close relationship she had with her younger brother Al. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved to travel (Las Vegas was her #1 destination) and shopping (especially for her grandson J.J.). Jaleen had a kind word and smile for everyone she met. She was a lady with a generous spirit who will be missed but never forgotten! Jaleen was called home on October 5, 2017. She is predeceased by her husband, Edward Douglass, Sr., parents John and Amy Uddin, brothers Omar and James Uddin and niece Shayla Uddin. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: devoted and loving sons, Edward (Dougie) Douglass, Jr and Jeffery (Alisha) Douglass Sr., grandson Jeffery (J.J.) Douglass Jr, brother Al (Donette) Uddin, nephews Jon, Tony and James Uddin Jr. and a host of relatives and friends.
