James Barnes Sr

James E. Barnes, Sr., age 71, (affectionately known as BOONIE) departed this life on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Riverside Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Marie Barnes; siblings, Ruby L. Jackson, Julia Ann Redman and Lamar A. Barnes. James retired from Complete General Construction Co. He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, James E. Barnes, Jr.; and William L. Barnes; daughters, Ruth (Romal) Griggs, Tonya R. Barnes, and Laura L. Mason; 20 grandchildren, 7 great-great children; sisters, Emma Jones, Elizabeth Zeigler, Rebecca Redman, Jane (Roger) Anthony, and Christine Hampton-Sharpe; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. In addition, special friends, Pauline Barnes, (mother of his children) and Donna Jean West.
