James C. Fisher, 86, slipped peacefully away June 20, 2013 with his daughters, Mary (Brad) Sawtelle and Linda Sue (Sam) Carifa at his side. His daughter Debbie Yow son Michael Fisher were with him in spirit. Born in Delavan, Illinois in 1928, Jim was an automotive painter/ mechanic and interstate owner/operator for most of his life. He honorably served in the army married the love of his life Marie (Higham) Fisher who preceded him in death. Also predeceased by his sister, Julia Sullivan. He is survived by his siblings Elizabeth Bailey Mary Steege (Bloomington, Il), Jo Romain (Mo.), Hubert Fisher (Lexington, Il), numerous nieces nephews, his children, 10 grandchildren 8 great-grandchildren. An honorary mass will be said Thursday June 27th at 12 noon at the St. Joseph Cathedral, 212 E. Broad St. Columbus, Ohio, 43215. Additional services will be held in Bloomington, Illinois.
