James Douglas Henry

JAMES DOUGLAS HENRY was born in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, December 4, 1971. He was affectionately called “Scrub” by family and friends. James was retired/disabled from both, Smokey Bones and Damon’s Restaurants, where he served as head cook and trainer. James was an avid Buckeye fan and had a love for the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed his family and friends but was most proud of his children. James loved to cook and eat. Serving the Lord and his church were his passions. James D. Henry passed, peacefully, on Monday, April 5, 2021, at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital. He was forty-nine years of age. James was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bernita McDougal; mother, Brenda J. Williams; father, J.D. McCauley; and niece, Seritani Edwards. Loving memories are cherished by his wife, Eboni Culberson Henry; children, Blair Culberson Cheyenne Culberson, J’aira Culberson Henry, James Douglas Henry II, and Cameron Michael Henry; granddaughter, Brielle Culberson; father, Charles E. Williams; sisters, Lisa M. Henry, Lori McCauley (Britney) and Regeane Parker; brother, Mark L. Henry; a host of other family and many friends. “TO BE ABSENT THIS BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD”
