James Edward Fuqua, Sr.

Mr. James Fuqua, Sr., was born in Elkhorn, WV to the late Robert and Mable Fuqua. James was married to the love of his life Virginia (Cook) Fuqua for 68 years before her passing in 2016. To that union, four children were born, three sons and one daughter. James transitioned home to the Father on Thursday, April 2, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia, sons James Edward Fuqua, Jr. and Anthony LaSalle Fuqua, and daughter Maria Fuqua. James is survived by his son, Derrick (Carolyn) Fuqua; daughter, Sharon (John) Anderson-Caslin; daughter-in-law, Diane Fuqua; brother's-in-law, Dell Woods, Charles (Essie) Cook, Robert (Leila) Cook, and Ivy (Torsia) Cook; sister's-in-law, Alice Bryant, Linda (Obia) Hemphill, Patricia Williamson, and Vicky Edwards; grandchildren, DaWanna Frost, James K. (Enga) Fuqua, Latasha Fuqua, Danika (Christopher) Kent, Ryan (Darlene) Fuqua, Kelly (Malika) Fuqua, Devin Fuqua, Kieauna Fuqua, Alisha Fuqua, Christopher (Casey) Fuqua and Nicole Fuqua; great grandchildren, Chianne Fuqua, Shane Fuqua, James Fuqua, Nicolas Fuqua, Adam Washington, Sarah Washington, Cyaire Kent, Jamir Cook, Jayda Cook, Abrina Wilson, Ava Wilson, Ora Wilson, Lincoln Fuqua, Megan Fuqua, Devin Fuqua, Jr., Erin Fuqua, Daniel Fuqua, Jameson Fuqua, and Briella Fuqua; nieces, Emma Boykin and Oni Anderson; great nephews, Al Anderson and Timothy Anderson; great niece, Kasey Anderson; sister-in-law, Rosetta Anderson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
