James Pete Weatherly of Columbus, was born October 8th, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA to the late James Hall and Marion Peterson. He passed away peacefully at the age of 71, surrounded by loving family on Friday, September 16th, 2016. James is survived by devoted wife of 17 years, Olivia (Miller) of Columbus; two daughters, Crystal and Candace Weatherly from a former union with Dorinda Scipio; a son, Keith (Kelli) Tate ; and grandchildren, Cristofer, Stephine, La'Myha, Keyshah and Ashley; extended family, Natalie Young, Kimyotta, Brittany, Miles, Ashton and Chloe Miller; sisters, Maxine Peterson and Susannah (Billie) Sachell; special nephew Lawrence Gauthney; and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins, Masonic Family, as well as a wide range of friends. Celebration of Life and Remembrance began at 11 AM on Friday, September 23rd, 2016 at Eastside Vineyard Church; 333 Jericho Road, where family received friends at 10 AM until time of service. Dr. Charles Montgomery, officiating. James enjoyed golfing and bowling, had a great love for basketball and was a talented photographer. He was also very active in the Masonic Order; he was Past Master of St. Mark's Lodge #7, Commander -N- Chief of L.D Easton #21, Captain of the Gold Patrol of Alla Baba Temple #53, Johnson Chapter #3 Royal Arch Masonry, Past Patron of Ester Chapter #3 OES, Worthy Joshua of Rollin F. Kelly Sr. Ct #4, H.O.J, as well as a 33° Mason of the United Supreme Council, Northern Jurisdiction.
