James Jennings

James Williard Jennings, affectionately known as “Petey Pete”, was born September3, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio. He passed away August 21, 2023 at the age of 92.

James was an astonishing man who faced challenges in his life with courage and strength. He was overwhelmingly loved by his family and friends. He attended Sage Goodwill for 20 years until he retired. He continued to live at home with family for a extended period of time. He then was in Great Care provided by Via Quest where he lived until his passing.

Preceded in death by parents, Theodore Jennings and Florence Jennings; brothers, Foster (Carretta) Jennings and Fenwick (Margret) Jennings; sisters, Oretha Starks and Evelyn Davis; nephew, Michael Starks; and niece, Cheryl Thomas.

Survived by nephew, Fenwick Jr (Gidget) Jennings; great nephews: Rick and Adrian Jennings, Shon Thomas; nieces, Sandra Jennings, Sharon Jennings and Debra Jennings; great nieces, Alicia Jennings, Tasha Jennings and Lynette Thomas and a host of great, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
