James Johnson Sr

James passed peacefully from this life the morning of October 28, 2012 and into a life of paradise and bliss. Henry and Mattie Johnson welcomed their son into this world on November 28, 1945 and James lived his life with a big smile and loving heart. James was a faithful employee of 36 years at Buckeye Steel and since retirement continued his passion for playing The Ohio Lottery Player, enjoying a day of fishing or relaxing at home listening to great Jazz music. James is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mattie, as well as sisters Martha Peterson and Mary Jane Johnson. He is survived by the Love of His Life of 25 years, Jessie Bowman; sons, James Johnson, Jr., Jarrard Johnson, Jarrett Wilson, and Bryan Bowman; daughter LaShawnda Bowman; sister Barbara Johnson; sisters-in-law, Joann (Matthew) Hairston, Earnestine Bowman, Darlene Taylor, and Tammie Henderson; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and many special friends.
