James Lomax Jr

January 19, 1935 — April 4, 2012

James William Lomax, Jr., 77, born January 19, 1936 in North Wilkes, NC, to James William Lomax, Sr. and Lucinda Long Lomax, gave up the ghost on April 4, 2012. Jim, or Jimmy as he was more duly noticed, married Ethelyn Littleton on March 4, 1956, and bore four wonderful sons, James III, Ernest, Eric, and Howard. Having lead a fulfilling life, he has gone to be with our Lord. Predeceased by his parents, Jim leaves cherished memories to his wife and sons; grandchildren, Tiffany Dillard, Anitra, Justin, Devin, Kiera, and Scottie Lomax; 6 great grandchildren; sisters Deborah (William) Coles and Michelene Dobbins; special friend Walter Wilborn; and a host of other relatives and friends. Quietly, James gave of himself to his family at every turn. He will be sadly missed. Celebration of Life 11 a.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Mt. Carmel Community Baptist Church, 608 Stambaugh Ave., where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the start of service. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
