James Moten

MOTEN, Deacon James Earl, was born August 11, 1948, in Bentonia Mississippi. He went on to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2018, surrounded by his family and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his wife: Yvonne; his daughter, Mary Sesley; his parents: Booker T. Moten, Sr. and Lucille Shaffer; siblings: Essie Shaffer, Jimmy (Marie) Moten, Sr., Marshall (Ruth) Moten, George Moten, Annie Moten, Leah Moten, Mary (Howard) Moten-Reese, Willie Mae (Samuel) Stewart, Willis Moten, L.B. Moten, Nonie Moten, Clarence Moten, and Miles Moten. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Raquelle Walker (Darren Glover), Columbus; James Moten, H, Florida, and Rosetta Thornton, Mississippi; grandchildren: Emmanuel Sesley, Macori Walker, Simon Walker, Nevaeh Walker, Semaj Moten, Jamesia Moten, Brandon Oats, Harmony Hunt, and James Moten, HI; brother, Booker (Shirley) Moten, and sister-in-law, Ora Shaffer; and special friends: Deacon Thomas Porter, Deacon Ricky Campbell, Minister Melvin Howard, and Richard Jeffers; Bishop and First Lady Edgar Posey, and the Living Faith Church Family, and many, many friends and family.
