James Willie Stennies, Jr. was born to James Willie Stennies, Sr. and Mabel Holt Stennies in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 24, 1957. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he matriculated through Cleveland City Schools, graduating from Collinwood High School. He was active in the band and orchestra. He successfully competed and was accepted into the Cleveland All City Band which was a proud accomplishment for him and the family. He was a responsible brother to Pamela and Gail. He was friendly and fun to be around. As a son, he was always in touch with family and held a special bond with his mother. He would often call to check on her, listen to her stories, and share what was going on in the lives of family members and friends. James was a renaissance man, a connoisseur of the arts, fine wine, and music. He was also a collector of coffee makers, exotic beans, and related accoutrements. He also loved photography and was the family photographer at the Scruggs-Holt-Harney Family Reunions. At the time of his passing, he was employed by T.S. Tech USA and FedEx in the Columbus, Ohio area. He held degrees from Cuyahoga Community College and Ohio University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communications. He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Mabel Holt Stennies; sister, Gail (Larry Shelley); sister, Pamela Johnson; nephew, Herbert Johnson, III; and niece, Kimberly (Michael) Johnson Aaron; and a host of cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews, one great grandnephew, family members, and friends.
