James Winston Jackson was born September 23, 1948, to the late Joseph Henry Jackson and Dana Mira Lochart, in Montvale, Virginia. He departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at age 64, at the Kobacker House, after a one day stay, with his brother/caregiver, Dennis, at his side. James was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. James drove a taxicab for the Yellow Cab company for over 25 years, until he was forced to retire in 2009 due to his illness. He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, Joseph and Dana, but also his brothers, Joseph and John. He leaves to cherish his memories, brother, Dennis, sisters, B. Dianne Williams and Karen Flowers, all of Columbus, Ohio. In addition, he leaves a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews, including special cousin, Elaine Hall, of Philadelphia, PA., ex-sister-in-law, Pamela Chaney, and best friend, Al Lame. He is also survived by special niece, Dana (Tony), and special grand nephew, D'Anthony, who both assisted in his caregiving during his final few months at the home of his brother, Dennis.
