JAMESETTA OWENS; beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend; was born on Tuesday, January 12, 1943, in Jackson, Tennessee, to James Henry Bullock and Mattie Louise Bond. On Thursday, November 28, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, Jamesetta departed this life, peacefully, just as she would have wanted. She was blessed with eighty-one years of life. Along with her parents, Jamesetta was preceded in death by her son, David Bullock; her brother, Glenn Bullock; sisters, Eliza Lewis, Nellie Barton, and Lula Mae Bullock; her grandsons, Travell and Treigh Martin; and great grandson, Brandon Ulmstead Jr.
She is survived by her devoted siblings, Yvonne Smith, Doris Jacox, Constance (Walter) Jackson, Samuel (Annie) Bullock, and Kathryn (Herbert) Anderson. Jamesetta leaves behind her cherished children, Pamela Bullock, Jacqueline Bullock, Tessla Martin, Margo Martin, and Kelly Martin. Her legacy continues through a plethora of grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom were touched by her love and wisdom. An avid reader and remarkable cook, Jamesetta loved music and cherished every moment she spent with her family. Known as “Honey” to her siblings, she devoted her life to raising multiple generations of her family, nurturing her children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren with boundless love and care. She especially loved family get-togethers and the fellowship that came with being surrounded by those she held dear. Her faith and love for her family were the cornerstones of her life. Her door was always open, and she was loved and respected by everyone in her community.
For thirty-one years, she dedicated herself to serving others through her work at Twin Valley Behavioral Health for the State of Ohio, where her kindness and dedication left a lasting impact. Jamesetta will always be remembered for her warm heart, unwavering faith, and the countless ways she brought joy and love to those around her. Her family takes solace in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who went before her. We are honored to celebrate the beautiful life of Jamesetta Owens, a woman who touched so many lives and left an undeniable mark on the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our hearts.
