Jannie L. Logan

Jannie L. Logan was born January 17, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio. She was a graduate of Marion-Franklin High School and Franklin University. Her career included employment at Xerox, Fielding Publications, and most recently McGraw-Hill, where she worked for over 14 years. Over the years, Jannie received several awards and certificates recognizing her accomplishments and dedicated service. Adored by many, Jannie was a devoted sister and aunt that possessed an angel-like spirit. She like playing tennis, in her teenage years, and enjoyed arts and crafts. Jannie was a family-oriented individual and especially loved spending time with her loved ones during the holidays as they wrestled over her Sock-it-to-me cake. She enjoyed watching Ohio State football games and Super Bowl games. Jannie was a jokester at heart and she always kept you, and herself, laughing. She was such an easy-going person. She kept a bright and a warm spirit, and could always find some good within a not-so-good situation. On Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at the age of 54, Jannie went Home to be with the Lord while at Mount Carmel East Hospital. She was predeceased by her mother, Myrna Logan-Jackson, and father, Leon Logan. Left to cherish memories of Jannie are her brothers, Leon Logan, Tracy Logan, and Anthony (Gina) Jackson; uncles, Olen Miller and Dennis Miller; nephews, Christopher Favers, Anthony Jackson, Tyler Jackson, and Lamar Logan; nieces, Kenadee Jackson, Jamica Copeland, and Lavon Logan; and a host of cousins, friends, and special neighbor, Sylvia Wooden. Jannie was proud of what God created within her family. Her family loved her dearly and will always carry her life learned lessons taught and great memories in their hearts. She will be truly missed but never forgotten.
