Jasmine M. Handon was born January 14, 1988 and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She attended St. Thomas Elementary School (grades K-8) and graduated from Bishop Hartley High School in 2006. She attended Wright State University, National University and the Ultimate Medical Academy. Jasmine was raised in Rehoboth Temple Church under the Late Bishop Kenneth L. Bligen and Apostle Bradford Berry. On March 19, 2018, Jasmine completed her assignment here on earth with an outstanding legacy of service to the homeless community. She was employed as a case manager and outreach worker for this population through PrimaryOne Health. Jasmine is preceded in death by her great grandparents, Mother Annie B. Myers and Lewis Craig, and The Honorable Mayor Hannibal (Girlee) Johnson; paternal grandparents, Deacon Clarence & Mother Mary Handon, maternal uncles, John Edward Craig, Jr. and Larry Craig, paternal uncle Arthur Williams, and most recently, her maternal grandfather John E. Craig, Sr. Left to cherish Jasmine’s memories are her parents, William and Dr. Rose Handon; maternal grandmother Marian Ann Craig; aunts, Charlene Williams, Marlene (David) Tucker of Duluth, GA, Marian (Angel) Craig of Los Angeles, CA, and Myra D. Pitts of Lawrenceville, GA; and uncle Steven L. Craig, Sr. (Karen) of Columbus, OH. Additionally, Jasmine is survived by her godfather “Uncle Teddy” Flowers of Columbus, OH, and a host of others including, Aunt Sandra Craig, Sis. Ramona Gates, Aunt E. J. Monroe, Sis. Leslie Washington, Sis. Dorothy Price; her “Big Brother” Troy Smith; special friends, Ashley Belcher Johnson, Falana Robinson, The Coats and Ellison families; along with a host of other great aunts, uncles, special cousins, two godchildren (Omarion and Kenya), many co-workers, and friends too numerous to mention.
