Jennifer Ann (Jones) Porter

Jennifer A. Jones was born on October 22, 1960, and was called home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2017 after complications of several health issues surrounded by family. She was predeceased by parents Paul and Annie P. Jones, and brother Paul K. Jones. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Byron P. Jones, his fiancé Talisa Clegg, sister Alicia L. Key, brothers Alan B. Jones (Debra), and Byron K. Jones (Julia), grandchildren Byron P. Jones Jr., and MyAsia Jones, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews, and finally her work daughter Nikki Clark. Jennifer was born and raised in Columbus Ohio and attended South High, and Walnut Ridge High Schools. She retired from JP Morgan Chase in 2014. As an avid traveler and was a member of the Flames motorcycle club for many years where she enjoyed campouts and traveling to different meetings and events. She was also a member of the Big Dog Traveling Team, where she enjoyed going on cruises and bus trips. She was a member of Good Samaritan Baptist Church and New Birth Christian Ministries where she was member of the choir, and the Food for the Soul Ministry. The family wish to extend its heartfelt thanks to the many family members, and friends near and far, whose prayers thoughts and other contributions helped to bring us through this very trying time. Our thanks also go out to all the doctor’s nurses and other staff members who took such excellent care of Jennifer at OSU Hospitals. Finally, the family would like to thank Kacy Peterson and Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Home for their excellent care, understanding, and patience throughout. They made a trying and difficult time for our family so much easier to overcome.
