Jessie Laurice, Ammons went home glory on December 10th, 2022 at 5:45pm. She was 82 years old born to George Batty and Gertrude Harris on April 11th, 1940 in Lima, Ohio. She was a graduate of Lima High School.
Jessie enjoyed spending time with her family, and working in the ministry. She was the founder and teacher of Children’s Church at Original Glorious Church Of God In Christ. She was a visionary, opening up the church’s first food pantry to help out those less fortunate in the community. Missionary President, Glorious Divine Choir Member, faithful Usher, Nurse and Evangelist.
Jessie was employed at The Ohio State University as an Executive Secretary for many years.
She was preceded in death by Father, George Batty, Mother Gertrude Harris, Sister Louise Jones, Husband, Robert Johnson, Twin Sons, Richard & Randy Johnson. Left to remember her are Daughter Delrita (William) Parks, Lavina (Jason) Slaughter, Grandchildren, Carissa Johnson, Kenneth Hughes, Darrius Johnson, Maya Jonson, Great-grands, Sydni, and expected Charlie’Rae Sunshine Hughes. And a host of Cousins, Nieces, Nephews.
