Jessie Irene Sheraski

July 2, 1942 — April 3, 2012

Jessie Irene Sheraski, 69, Vienna, West Virginia, passed away Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012 at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. She was born July 2, 1942 in International Falls, Minnesota, daughter of the late Roy and Gertrude (Goebel) Rablin, of Buyck Minnesota. She attended elementary school in Buyck and high school in Orr Minnesota before moving and graduating from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc Wisconsin in 1960. She attended Lakeshore Technical College, graduating as an LPN. She continued her education, acquiring her RN degree at Marion College in Fond du Lac Wisconsin, and her Master’s degree while living in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She married David Sheraski in 1960 in Manitowoc, where they lived for years. He preceded her in death in 1998. They had three daughters, Karen (Paul) Fritz-Weber, Debra (Lee) Filliez, Barbara (Ryan Eldred) Sheraski, Menasha, WI. In addition to her children, Jessie is survived by two brothers, Lester (Colleen) Rablin, Cook, MN, Wayne (Debra) Rablin, Hanover, VA, and two sisters, Patricia Sokoloski, Grand Rapids, MN, Vivian (William) Marx, Spooner, WI, and eleven grandchildren, and one great granddaughter, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives, plus many close friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; five brothers, Robert, Jack, Harvey, James, Richard; four sisters, Frances, Marjorie, Fern, and Sylvia. Jesse was a very devoted mother, grandmother, and nurse. She used her education in nursing to care for others, and also to teach others so they could become as dedicated to the profession as was she. Jessie enjoyed gardening, reading, swimming, sewing, cooking, and baking. She was a member of First Unitarian Universalist Society of Marietta, 232 3rd St, Marietta OH, where her memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012, Rev. Kathryn Hawbaker officiating. While pursuing her degrees in Colorado and Wisconsin she was a member of Unity Church. A memorial service will also be held for her in Manitowoc at a later date.
