Jettie (Brazile) Crump was born on March 25, 1924 in Clanton, Alabama, to the union of Maggie Ware and Jasper Brazile. She was one of ten children. Jettie was called home to be with the Lord on December 7, 2016. After the death of her mother at an early age, Jettie moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she was raised by her oldest sister, Alcie Lee Brazile and Charles Williams. Jettie later moved to Akron, Ohio, and then to Columbus, Ohio, where she worked at The Ohio State University Hospital for many years. Jettie was involved with several ministries at First Church of God including the Usher Board, Mission Society, Food Pantry, and Deacon Board. Jettie married the late Nathaniel John Crump, Sr. and, to this union, three children were born. Jeanette, Vernadine, and Nathaniel Jr. In addition to her parents, Jettie was preceded in death by her daughter Jeanette McDonald, son Nathaniel John Crump, Jr., and eight brothers and sisters. Jettie is survived by her daughter Vernadine Crump Pickens; sister Pearline Taylor; daughter-in-law Thelma Crump; grandchildren, Tara M. (Kenneth) Rigsbee, William (Stacey) McDonald, Aliese (Cindy) McDonald, Dakisha (Kevin) Edwards, Jamal (Tania) Edwards, Ra’Sheida (Jamaine) Graham, Kareem (LaTonya) Crump, and Carlos (Q'Smat) Pickens; great grandchildren, Mickyala Stewart, Jeanette McDonald, Adrianna Robinson, Maxine Hill, Isiah Hill, Nasha Wallace, Diamond McComb, Olivia Fenstemaker, Robert Banks, Santiago McComb, Sanchez McComb, Nyjah Crump, and Jilliana Edwards; great-great grandchildren, Braylin McComb, Sanchez McComb, Jr., Santana McComb, and Savion McComb. Jettie is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special daughters, and dear friends.
