Joel Collins

Joel (Joe) Collins, 70, passed away on November 25, 2023.

After Graduating from high school, Joe gained employment with Columbus Auto Parts. He went on to be employed with Polycel. In 1999, he began his employment with Mount Carmel West Hospital where he retired after 20 years as a supplies technician.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Jackson and Juanita Collins; brothers, Donald Robinson, John Sr., Floyd Sr., Gerald, and Danny Collins; sisters, Helena Collins and Deborah Miller. Joe was the last surviving sibling.

While growing up in Columbus, he attended Mt. Hermon Baptist Church with his family. Joe was a simple man with a big heart. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also had a love for cars, football, music, and dancing.

His memory will continue to be cherished by his “forever wife” Cynthia Collins and by his children, Jevon (Rae), Cory (Felicia), Juanita, and Joel (Louis); stepchildren,Tyler Reynolds, Lakisha (Eric) Thompson, and Ebony (Marcus) Spivey, along with his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
