John E. Craig, Sr., age 87. Sunrise October 14, 1929; Sunset December 5, 2016. He was educated in the Columbus Public Schools, served as a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, 503rd Field Artillery Battalion; CEO and President of Craig Sons Wrecking Company; Legacy Member of the Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith, and long term friend of Rehoboth Temple Church, and their Annual Thanksgiving Program for many years. He was predeceased by his parents, Annie B. Meyers and Lewis Craig; brothers, Samuel Craig, Abraham Craig, and Henry Craig; sisters, Alma Jordan, and Elouise Jordan; brothers-in-law, Robert C. Holmes, Waymon Malone, Sr.; Richard E. Johnson, and Marshall Johnson; sons, John E. Craig, Jr. and Larry W. Craig. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 63 plus years, Marian A. Craig, Sr., daughters, Dr. Rose M. (William) Handon of Whitehall, Ohio; Marian A. Craig Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; Marlene D. (David) Tucker, of Duluth, GA.; Myra D. Pitts, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and son, Steven L. (Karen) Craig, Sr., of Columbus, OH; sisters, Florence A. Holmes, Shirley Malone, Bertha Nowell, and Lena (Donald) Johnson; brothers, Donald (Marilyn) Craig, and Stanley (Jackie) Craig; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jermaline Coleman of Urbancrest, OH; Attorney Lawrence (Sheila) Johnson, of Detroit, MI; Thomasina Johnson of Naperville, IL; Bertina Johnson of Alliance, OH; Sandra Craig, Dorothy Craig, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Hardy Crone, George Hurt, Teddy Flowers, Arthur Williams Sr., Sis. Lillie Robinson, Sis. Virginia Brown and a host of neighbors, friends throughout Central OH and the United States. A special thank you to the Rehoboth Temple Church Pastoral staff, Missionaries Department, We Care Outreach Prayer Bands; Eliezer Church of Christ Prayer Band; Christ Cathedral Church of Christ, Dr. Angela Tucker, The Ohio State University (OSU CarePoint East Center; Dr. Gloria Fleming (OSU); the staff of Wexner Heritage Village and the Crossroads Hospice services in Atlanta, GA.
