John Henry Holland, Jr. was born August 7, 1951 to Dorothy White Holland and John Henry Holland, Sr., in Griffin, Georgia. As a child, John moved with his family to Columbus, Ohio where he attended Mohawk Junior-Senior High School. John came to be known as "Bug" by many of his loved ones and close friends and he was a founding member of the "Turkey Bowl" in Columbus. John was a longtime employee of Huntington National Bank and retired after 43 years of dedicated service. A bid whist specialist and BBQ pit master, he also enjoyed fishing, dogs, and football. On April 5, 2018, at the age of 66, John H. Holland, Jr. passed away while at Grant Medical Center. His parents and grandfather, John Holland, preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynda J. Holland; son John H. Holland, III (Claudia); daughter Beonita Holland; stepson Michael (Rhonda) Anderson; siblings, Mae Doris White, Randy White, Annette White, JoJo White, Sandra White, and Tammy Davis-Jackson; granddaughters, Shelby Holland, Jaylynn Holland, and Johana Jayda Holland; grandsons, Corey McKisson, Michael Anderson, Paul Smith, Jonathan Smith, and Gary Hall; and a host of "adopted" grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins (with a special acknowledgement of Debra Sue Holland-Frye), other relatives and friends.
