John Leslie Pannell

John Pannell was born April 4, 1938 in Gilliam, Wv to James and Sally Ann Pannell. He attended St. John Baptist Church until his health no longer permitted, then he would watch service on TV and read his bible. Throughout his life, he was always a loving father and devoted husband. John was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Samuel, Daniel, Fred, and Nathaniel Pannell, sister Abbie Morris Pannell, daughter Elizabeth Pannell and son Charles Pannell. He leaves to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy his sons, Jerome Harris, James L. Pannell, and John Pannell; daughters, Teara Johnson, and Cheryl Harrington of Roanoke, VA; brothers, Alfred and Douglas Pannell; sisters, Jane Court and Margaret Brown; former wife and friend, Sherby Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
