John Orlando 'Bud' Turner

John Bud Orlando Turner, 69, went home to be with the Lord on March 09, 2017 after a valiant battle with a long time illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. John was born to the late langa Gore and Jake Turner, of Columbus, Ohio on August 29, 1947. He loved sports and working with youth, he also loved assisting with coaching in the greater Columbus area. He graduated from Columbus South High School. John served in the US Marines Corps and served in the Vietnam War where he received two purple hearts for his service. He retired from Franklin County Courts and Mt Carmel Hospital East. Served with Westerville Police Department. John was blessed with a large and loving family. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Patricia Patsy Turner. His three sons, Chris, Jotjr and Theo . Brothers, James H. Turner (Deborah), Paris L. Gore (Sherry), Sisters, Darlene G. Minor (James), Cardella A.Wood (Jonathan) and Reon M. Scott (Graeme). Grandchildren, Antonio, Malcolm, Cariss, Jotjr Jr., Daisha, Orlando, Janya and Great grandchildren. Special friend, Don Worley, and a host of family and friends.
