John Thomas Broadnax, age 71, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away at home on Friday, September 1, 2017. He was born December 21, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to the late John Thomas Broadnax and Lucille Harmon Broadnax. John graduated from East High School where was a star football player. He coached football for the Mifflin Sharks and the Father Joseph Wehrle High School. John was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State University football fan. John retired from AEP (American Electric Power) where he worked for over 35 years. John is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Broadnax; daughter, Dana (Charles) Johnson; Jerry (Mimi) Francis; sister, Clara Broadnax; grandchildren, Gabriel Johnson, Jaren, Jarel Jeremiah Francis; special friends Larry Morton, Paul Stith, Rick Humphreys, Ed Blevins and Rick Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends. Preceded in death by brother Leroy Broadnax; and sister, Geraldine Broadnax Lockhart. John was a life-long member of Trinity Baptist Church.
